Apple Watch Series 7 latest updates

September 2021 is going to be a big launch event for Apple. There are plenty of new announcements of Apple products including the iPhones, Airpods, iPads, and the new Apple Watch Series 7. News about all the new Apple Watch Series 7 and iPhone 13 is likely to be announced together this September 2021. According to Business Insider, a significant upgrade is on the cards. The new upgrades include a flatter edge similar to the iPhone 12 better battery health, new health features, advanced sensors, and major improvements to the display.

Watch Series 7 release date and price

Apple Watch Series 6 was launched last year around September 2020. The Apple Watch Series 7 will probably be launched this year by the end of this September. The public has been kept guessing for now because Apple is yet to make a formal announcement of the launch details and the availability of the watches.

One can expect no surprises from Apple here, the price of one watch could likely start from around the $400 range for the 40mm variant with GPS. The cellular version could cost more depending on Apple’s pricing strategy. The smartwatch also comes with a variety of color options.

Apple Watch Series 7 features and specifications

The blood glucose monitoring feature is welcoming bringing with it a new sensor. It remains to see if Apple has confirmed this new feature and it could still not make the final cut. Apple Watch 7 comes with a much bigger battery capacity because of a much smaller S7 processor and therefore coming with a lot of space in the device. The watch could also come with ultra-wideband support which we have already seen in the AirTag. The tracking feature will be added to the new version of Watch 7. The Apple Watch is expected to come with the watchOS 8, the newest version of the watchOS operating system.

A new Mindfulness app with new messaging options is also among the new features. The size of the Watch 7 is speculated to come in a 44mm size. The smartwatch is 44 x 38 x 9mm and will come with a 1.8-inch display. 

Apple Watch Series 7 design

The Apple Watch 7 design is very similar to the iPhone 12 possessing flat edges. The overall design of the Watch 7 is unlikely to have many changes from previous Apple Watch models. Some slight improvements will likely feature reduced bezels for a higher screen-to-body ratio. The company is testing a lamination technique that will bring the display closer to the users so they feel the features closer to them.

More new releases expected from Apple

Apple Watch Series 7 is not the only product to be launched this September. A host of other Apple products are in line to be announced: iPhone 13, iPad mini 6, and AirPods 3. All of these devices have been creating an air of excitement for many users.
